SAPP Code of conduct
The accredited member agrees to be bound by the constitution of the SA Professional Photographers (SAPP) and abide by the regulations and guidelines of the SAPP as set down from time to time.
The accredited member will at all times present themselves, in such manner as will uphold and dignify their professional status and the reputation of the SAPP.
They will deal with the public with honesty and integrity. They shall exercise reasonable skill, care and diligence in the discharge of their duties, giving full consideration to the requirements of the client.
The accredited member will fulfill all contractual obligations, offer reasonable warranty of products and services, and perform on such warranty without hesitation, where claims are justified.
The accredited member will advertise and sell the merits of their services and products honestly and undertake only assignments that photographer or company can reasonably expect to complete with professional competence.
The accredited member will not commit any acts that will discredit the profession and they will refrain from degrading competitors.
The accredited member will respect the privacy of their clients, and all subjects they photograph, and all rights that they have in the photographs they create, and will use the appropriate model or property releases to help protect those rights.
